Fire Subscription Information |
|
As a fire department organized under Title 18 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the Silver City Volunteer Fire Department does not receive any direct tax support from the State of Oklahoma, Creek County, or any municipality.
Title 18 fire departments are agents of the State of Oklahoma and are authorized by the State to charge fees for fire runs, and optionally to offer membership subscriptions to landowners and residents of the fire district. Silver City Fire Volunteer Department has chosen to offer optional fire subscriptions.
Subscribers who are landowners or residents of Silver City Fire District will receive no invoice from Silver City Fire Department for fire response to their property or residence no matter how many times it is required during the subscription period.
Subscriptions are currently $48 per year. Your $48 subscription will cover undeveloped property, or ONE residence or business on property on which there are more than one distinct separate residence or business. Properties containing more than one residence or business require a separate subscription for each residence or business.
Oil wells and tank batteries are the responsibility of the producers for fire run fees and subscription purposes. One subscription covers one lease.
There are two ways to subscribe:
(recommended) Upon request, Indian Electric Cooperative will collect $4 per month on behalf of the fire department by adding the fee to your monthly electric bill. IEC remits a check once a month to the fire department for the total of all fees collected along with a file containing the names of the subscribers.
To subscribe through IEC, contact Teresa Robertson at 358-2514
(optional) You may remit directly to the fire department by check for yearly subscriptions in increments of $48 per year.
