202, Silver City's first "real" fire truck, is a 1962 Ford/Central pumper which we placed into service on March 31, 2001. This truck was purchased from the Prairie DuPont Fire Department (IL). It has a 1140-gallon tank and a 500 GPM Waterous pump. Besides enhancing our ability to deal with structure fires, this truck also functions as a tanker for our off-road units.
202 responded to its first structure fire for Silver City on December 29, 2001.

In November 2003 we donated unit 202 to Shamrock Fire Department. After so many people helped us to get started, it's nice to finally be able to reciprocate. Photo by Bill Beall, November 22, 2003
