Historical War Bonnet Race Track,
1967-1970

The  Historical War Bonnet Race Track, 1967-1970, was host to Grand Prix series, NASCAR,  Formula l, Trans-Am and other races.  Celebrities such as James Garner, Dick Smothers and drivers such as Parnelli Jones, Jerry Titus, Mark Donahue, Peter Rawson, Roger Penske and George Follmer were featured drivers.  In 1970, the War Bonnet Race Track was sold at a sheriff’s sale and purchased by a development company.   The original race track still exists and can be driven on.
