The Historical society says the original Dalton Gang Hideout Cave, was
near Rail Bridge and Cimarron River bluff. This location is approximately
two miles south of Hwy 48 and 51 intersection. The Dalton Gang met
their demise in Coffeyville, Kansas during a bank robbery. The cave is now under water.
