Microsoft Windows Mail (Vista)

The following instructions will help you set up your email address(es) to be used with Microsoft Windows Mail. If you experience problems or have questions, please contact Technical Support at 877.807.9040.

1. Execute this program either from the desktop icon or from the icon in the task bar or click START / RUN / type Winmail and press Enter. Once opened, click the Tools menu located under the title bar of the Windows Mail window and select Accounts as displayed in the image below. If you are prompted for a new account setup immediately, skip to Step 3.

2. Remove any unused accounts from this window by clicking the Remove option. Next, click the Add option.

3. Choose Email Account option and click Next.

4. In this window you will enter in the name you want people to see when they receive an email from you. For example, John Doe. Anything can be entered into this field. Once finished, click Next.

5. In this window you will enter your CimTel.Net address, which is your User ID followed by @cimtel.net. For example, if you user ID is johndoe, then your email address would be johndoe@cimtel.net.

Enter all lower-case letters and do not enter spaces.

Click Next when you are finished.

6. Leave the POP3 selection as is and enter mail.cimtel.net in both "incoming" and "outgoing" mail servers. Clinck Next when finished.

7. On this next window, your username should already by entered. You will need to add @cimtel.net to the end of your username here. Do not change the username in any other way. Enter your password. Click Next when you are finished.

8. Click Finish and you are done!
